1. Introduction

GeraEats is operated by Gera Services (registered in England and Wales). These Terms govern use of geraeats.com and our mobile applications by customers, restaurants, and delivery riders.

2. Our Services

GeraEats is a food delivery marketplace connecting customers with local restaurants and independent delivery riders. We are an intermediary — restaurants are responsible for food quality and safety; riders are independent contractors.

3. Customer Terms

  • Provide accurate delivery addresses
  • Declare any allergies or dietary requirements at ordering (we pass these to the restaurant)
  • GeraEats and restaurants are not liable for undisclosed allergies
  • Be available to receive delivery (repeated missed deliveries may result in non-refund)

Refunds: Contact [email protected] within 24 hours for missing, incorrect, or unsatisfactory orders. We investigate with the restaurant and issue refunds at our discretion. UK consumer rights apply.

Cancellations: Free within 1 minute of placing order. Once a restaurant starts preparing, cancellation may not be possible.

4. Restaurant Partner Terms

Restaurants on GeraEats confirm they:

  • Hold all required food business operator registrations and food hygiene certificates
  • Comply with all applicable food safety laws (Food Safety Act 1990, Food Information Regulations 2014 for allergen labelling)
  • Accurately describe menu items including allergens (UK Food Information Regulations 2014 — mandatory 14 allergens)
  • Maintain a minimum 3-star Food Hygiene Rating (or equivalent) or disclose their current rating
  • Fulfil orders within the stated preparation time
  • Accept GeraEats' commission rate as shown in the Restaurant Dashboard

5. Delivery Rider Terms

Riders confirm they:

  • Are legally permitted to work in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Hold required licences for their delivery vehicle
  • Carry appropriate insurance
  • Are operating as independent contractors and are responsible for their own tax obligations

6. Allergen Responsibility

Restaurants are solely responsible for accurate allergen information. GeraEats displays allergen information as provided by restaurants. Customers with severe allergies should contact the restaurant directly before ordering.

7. Payment Terms

Payments via Stripe. Restaurant payouts weekly, less commission. Rider earnings paid weekly.

8. Limitation of Liability

GeraEats is not liable for food quality, food safety, or delivery rider conduct. Our liability as intermediary is limited to fees paid in the prior three months or £50. Consumer Rights Act 2015 rights are unaffected.
