GeraEats · How It Works
How the ordering process works
Open GeraEats, enter your delivery address, browse restaurants available in your area, choose your items, and checkout with your preferred payment method. GeraEats confirms your order to the restaurant, a delivery rider is assigned, and you can track your order in real time on the app. Average delivery time in major African cities is 25-45 minutes depending on distance and restaurant preparation time.
Payment methods available
GeraEats supports: mobile money (M-Pesa in Kenya, MTN MoMo in Ghana and Nigeria, Airtel Money in Uganda); debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard); GeraCash wallet; and cash on delivery in some markets. Mobile money is the dominant payment method in most African markets and typically the fastest checkout option. Card payments are accepted everywhere GeraEats operates.
How restaurants join GeraEats
Restaurant owners apply through geraeat.com/partner or via the GeraEats Partner mobile app. Onboarding includes: identity verification, food safety certification check (where required by local regulation), menu setup and photography, and payment setup. GeraEats charges commission on completed orders — no upfront fees. Partner restaurants can manage their menu, promotions, and availability in real time through the Partner dashboard.
